Mile High United Way

A brand new mobile-responsive WordPress website, coming soon.

Project Narrative & Outcomes

It's nothing short of an honor to be working closely on the new WordPress website for Mile High United Way. The goal of the project was to compel new audiences to give, to inform existing donors of their impact, and to educate the public on the work of Mile High United Way in a streamlined, digestible manner.

A local division of the non-profit organization, working side-by-side with the community, Mile High United Way takes on critical human services issues facing our seven-county footprint including the Metro Denver, Boulder and Broomfield, Colorado communities.

Our Approach

We worked closely with members of the Mile High United Way team to understand the needs and requirements of the new WordPress website, while paving a solid roadmap with realistic milestones

We accomplished this by transforming from an old, clunky UX into a scalable object library of templates and page sections that can be re-used to build pages and all sections of the new website, seamlessly and with ease for the client.

The Solution

One main requirement in the Mile High United Way website rebuild project was to create versatility by “allowing for multiple page layouts/designs with multiple columns and rows along with multiple visual media layout options”.

We accomplished this by transforming from an old, clunky UX into a scalable object library of templates and page sections that can be re-used to build pages and all sections of the new website, seamlessly and with ease for the client.

Human Experience

We saw the need to celebrate the mission of Mile High United Way, showcasing the community programs and initiatives of "uniting people, ideas, and resources to advance the common good".

We built the new Mile High United Way WordPress website with that in mind, with beautiful, full-scale imagery and bold colors to extend the brand while telling the United Way story and effectively communicate the message.

Prototyping

Let’s collaborate and make an impact with my cross-discipline approach to design and deveopment.

My job is to build your website so that it is functional and user friendly but at the same time attractive. My aim is to bring across your message and identity in the most creative way. I enjoy turning complex problems into simple, beautiful and intuitive interface designs. When I’m not coding or pushing pixels, you’ll find me in the pool or on the court shooting hoops.
